Season 2 went live on October 5. Since then, we’ve been expanding the collection, improving rewards, and working on an update that gives your squad more ways to influence a match.

Here’s what arrived at launch, what changed during the first week, and what’s in the new 1.0.18 release.

A New Season for Your Collection

Season 2 launched with a Season Starter Pack, available once per season, and refreshed artwork for the Superstar pack.

We also added new Full Art cards numbered 038–040 for Rosson Vale, Royal Meridian, and Yellow Volt. These give collectors more distinctive cards to discover as they build their Season 2 collection.

Finding your cards is easier, too: the new See Collection button on Home takes you straight to your collection.

More Ways for Your Squad to Make a Difference

The new release introduces tiered passive abilities for Prime, Icon, and Legend cards, adding another factor to consider when choosing your starting four.

Your squad’s identity now goes beyond its overall rating. Passive abilities give you more reasons to compare cards and experiment with different combinations.

Special actions are expanding as well, with Dribble, Center, and Tackle joining the existing Run, Corner, and Block actions. Together, these additions bring more variety to the action on the pitch while keeping quick reactions at the heart of Vladers.

Pass and Defend Combos

Pass/Defend combos are another addition in the new release, bringing a new mechanic to learn during matches.

To help you follow them, we’ve added a tutorial, P/D indicator dots, and a bottom event banner. These make the new system easier to understand and help show what is happening as you play.

Player face chips also appear on actions, passive triggers, and goal celebrations, giving your squad more presence throughout the match.

Prefer a quieter match? Match music is now off by default.

An Easier First Game

We want new players to reach their first match with less friction.

In the new release, players start as guests, with a registration popup explaining what an account unlocks. You can try Vladers before deciding to register.

Guest players can now claim the Daily Pack and its optional rewarded-ad bonus. Quick Match also asks new players to choose a starter club before claiming their starter pack, making that first choice part of the introduction.

The Play screen has been redesigned to make exploring the game’s modes more convenient.

League and Reward Improvements

Season 2 also enabled hourly pools in Vladers League.

During the first week, we improved rewarded-ad handling: expired ads are discarded, loading retries continue, and the app waits for the ads system to initialize. These changes are designed to make optional rewards more reliable.

The match reward button now says “Another reward”, making its purpose clearer. Boost subscriptions also arrived on iOS during the first week of Season 2.
