Vladers is evolving beyond simply collecting stronger cards.
The next step is giving players more control over how their squad is built and how that squad plays during a match.
Two major additions are helping us move in that direction: Squad Formations and the new Tactical Match mode.
Squad Formations Are Here
Building a squad is no longer only about choosing the cards with the highest overall rating.
With formations, you can decide how you want your team to be structured and what kind of players you want to rely on more often.
A more attacking formation, for example, can put more attackers into your squad. That has a direct influence on the match.
When your attack reaches the final shooting action, having more attackers means there is a greater chance that a natural attacker will take the shot, allowing you to benefit from a stronger SHO stat.
It can also make the Run strategy more available, because Run is linked to attackers.
A more defensive formation can give greater influence to defensive players and strategies such as Block, while a midfield-oriented formation can create another balance through Corner.
The idea is simple: your formation should influence how your squad feels to play.
More Than Just Overall Rating
This also changes the way you can think about your collection.
A card with a slightly lower overall rating may still be a better choice if it fits the formation and style you want to use.
Instead of only asking:
“Is this card stronger?”
you can also ask:
“Does this player fit the way I want to play?”
That gives formations a real purpose and makes collecting new players more interesting even when they are not simply an OVR upgrade.
Introducing Tactical Match
Alongside formations comes a new way to play Vladers: Tactical Match.
It keeps the foundations of a normal Vladers match, but changes the way you interact with each round.
While the classic match is designed to be fast and reactive, Tactical Match introduces more structure. Different actions can trigger different behaviours depending on what is happening during the round.
The goal is to create more tactical choices while also making the flow of the game easier to understand.
Clear Attack and Defence Rounds
One of the biggest differences is the separation between attacking rounds and defending rounds.
When you're attacking, the objective is clear: reach the required number of passes and create your shooting opportunity.
When you're defending: stop your opponent from reaching their own passing target.
Attack → build the move.
Defend → break the move.
Having a clear objective for each side makes it easier to understand what you should be focusing on at any moment.
It also creates a different rhythm from the classic match.
Every Action Can Create a Different Situation
Actions in Tactical Match don't all behave in the same way.
A successful pass can move your attack forward, while defensive actions can disrupt your opponent or change the situation of the round.
Different choices can create different consequences, meaning you're reacting more to what is currently happening instead of simply repeating the same action.
Your cards remain central to all of this.
PAS matters when progressing the ball.
DEF becomes important when trying to stop your opponent.
And when you finally create the opportunity to score, SHO can decide whether the move ends in a goal.
Your formation therefore influences not only the players in your squad, but also which stats and actions are more likely to become important during the match.
Your Strategies Still Matter
Tactical Match plays differently, but the core Vladers strategy system remains.
The special strategies available between rounds — Run, Corner and Block — are still effective in Tactical Match.
Your card abilities and custom actions remain available as well.
So while Tactical Match changes how rounds are played, it doesn't remove the strategies and powers you've already built your squad around.
Two Ways to Play Vladers
Classic Match remains the fast, nervous and reactive experience. Quick decisions, immediate pressure and short competitive matches.
Tactical Match offers something different. Attack and defence phases make your objective clearer, while the different behaviours triggered by actions introduce more tactical decisions.
Both modes are based on the same Vladers rules and cards, but they are designed to feel very different to play.
Squad Building Becomes Strategy
These additions are part of a larger direction for Vladers.
Collecting stronger cards should always be exciting, but a player's value shouldn't necessarily stop at their overall rating.
A new card could give you a stronger finisher, another defensive option, more access to a particular strategy or the missing player for a completely different formation.
You collect the players.
You build the squad.
You choose how you want to play.
Then you take that squad into battle.
Collect. Build. Battle. Conquer.
